This 1979 36’ Mariner Ketch is new to the market and seriously for sale. She has just returned from a year and a half cruise thru the Bahamas and further down island. Raven is a very stout vessel built in New Hampshire molded from Mariner Yacht Company’s very popular sloop with the series running from 1978 thru 1983. This ketch will need simple cosmetics and a good GPS to get you going on your ocean cruise. This vessel has a huge cockpit with abundant lockers, cockpit cushions and easy access to the mizzen sail with a few mast steps to the boom. The semi battened mainsail and roller furling Genoa are in very good condition. The Mizzen mast is a great place to carry your Radar dome and wind generator and also has a sail in good condition adding speed and stabilization to the vessel. The bottom has a full skeg for rudder protection and a 5 foot draft good for open ocean tracking and shallow enough for the Keys and Bahamas. Her forward deck is very spacious and all standing rigging has been updated with Staylocks up and down. The deck toe rail, deck hatches and a couple of ports are showing some leaks that can be cured without much effort. The bow sprit support is cracked and will need a new SS support under the teak sprit which houses a double bow roller and CQR anchor with chain and rode. The air conditioned interior is in fair condition and the galley could use 12V refrigeration. This Mariner is being placed in the market to sell fast and will not last long at the low asking price. A good bottom, new rigging, solid decks and a full livable interior make this boat a must see. If you are interested in Raven, please call Barry at 954-873-1800 and sail away today.
