1965 Queen of Burnaby Ferry Online Auction for Government Surplus - Auction Ends 6/7/17 - To View the auction click the link: https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=1&acctid=9470 The final auction price will have to approved by British Columbia Ferry Services committee after the auction has closed Removed from service date - May 16th, 2017 Reason for being auctioned - Replaced Sailing certificates have expired so must be towed (buyer would need to get a towing certificate) Ship not to be used for ongoing sailing or trade, can only be considered for recycling / scrap or in a static application Buyer must provide evidence they will do an environmentally acceptable breaking of the ship Vessel will be layed up at our Maintenance Facility in Richmond BC Approximate sailings per week - 54 Approximate nautical miles per week - 918 Schedule - Sept 6’16- Mar 31’17 Passenger/Crew: 904 Maintenance: All equipment was maintained to acceptable industry standards on an ongoing basis but are now expired. Known issues: 1. Periodic leakage of hydraulic oil from controllable pitch propeller hub. 2. Vessel has hazardous materials from new build and operations that must be managed in accordance with environmental regulations, known materials include: asbestos, diesel fuel, petroleum based lubricants, wiring and insulation products, paints, refrigerants, and other chemicals for proper operation.
