This was Roger MacGregors personal catamaran used for racing & cruising!
This 1983 36' MacGregor Catamaran appears to be in very good condition, having had many upgrades along with being well-maintained. And it is truly a rare find! This particular MacGregor was custom built for Roger MacGregor, the founder of MacGregor Yacht Co. MacGregor Yacht Co. resulted as part of a Stanford University MBA class project in the early 1960's.
This Catamaran is ready to sail and ready to race! The sails and rigging gear are all in great condition. The vessel is powered by two electric motors. Clearly, the 12" draft is a great feature of this sailboat! The owner remarks that there is nothing that needs repair on this MacGregor.
The MacGregor Catamaran is the perfect sailboat to take a lot of friends out for the day; the vessel will accommodate 20 passengers. For overnights, the MacGregor 36' can sleep eight, which makes it very desirable for weekend get-a-ways or a sailing vacation for the entire family.
The owners clearly enjoyed owning this MacGregor, however, they are a family of many boats and so this one is currently not being used as much anymore.
